Manti Te'o to 49ers' Anthony Davis after imaginary girlfriend dig: 'Find a new joke'

Second-year San Diego Chargers linebacker Manti Te'o became synonymous with catfishing in January 2013 after Deadspin broke the story of an acquaintance who lured the then-Notre Dame senior into an online relationship with a nonexistent woman who "died."
Many people joked about it, publicly and privately, myself included. Almost two years later? Te'o has moved on.
If only others followed suit. During the Chargers' come-from-behind victory over San Francisco on Saturday, 49ers offensive tackle Anthony Davis bragged about trash-talking Te'o on Twitter:
"I got harassed a few times last year (on the field). I expected that. But this year?" Te'o said Monday. "I told him, 'Find a new joke.'"
On Saturday Te'o led the Chargers defense with 11 tackles (one for a loss) and added a sack. And he clearly won't let this old hoax define him.
So if you're tickled by tired jokes or recently awoke from a two-year-long coma, I guess you may want to follow Davis on Twitter.
