Mark you calendars people. Henceforth, August 24 shall be known as 'Kobe Bryant Day' by decree of the Los Angeles City Council.
Kobe Bryant was onhand today at the council's meeting to make the day official. Appearing at city hall with his family, Mayor Eric Garcetti and scores of Lakers fans donning his No. 24 and No. 8 jerseys, Bryant called it a 'surreal experience.'

Retiring at the end of last season, Bryant won five titles with the Lakers, two Finals MVPs, a regular season MVP and was an All-Star 18 times during his career. And that's just to name a few of his personal accolades.
You might need an entire day just to list them all.
