FOX Sports South Girls honor military personnel as part of FOX Sports Salute to the Troops

In honor of Veterans Day, FOX Sports South Girls Canicka and Morgan joined the FOX Sports broadcast network production crew at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga., for a special Veteran's Day presentation on Sunday's national NFL pregame shows on FOX Sports and FOX Sports 1.

While at Fort Benning, the Girls interacted with military personnel and their families, took photos with fans, and shot promo spots with the audience that will air on FOX Sports South and SportSouth in the coming weeks.

In addition to the FOX Sports South Girls, ambassadors in attendance at Fort Benning included FOX NFL insider Jay Glazer and FOX Sports 1 reporter Jenny Taft. Part of the day's festivities included interaction between Glazer, Taft, the audience at Fort Benning, and the FOX NFL KICKOFF and FOX NFL SUNDAY crews at the 21st Century Fox Studios in Los Angeles. Several locations from the military installation were peppered in throughout the two FOX Sports shows, and military personnel were able to ask questions directly to the hosts that were answered live during the respective broadcasts.

Glazer, Taft and the Girls are regular ambassadors to the U.S. military for FOX Sports. Glazer has visited troops in Qatar, Afghanistan, Korea and several domestic installations, while Taft and the FOX Sports South Girls have been a part of FOX Sports' SALUTE THE TROOPS shows taped at U.S. Army installations both domestically and abroad.

In addition to Fort Benning, FOX Sports Girl Morgan most recently participated in the FOX Sports Spring Training to the Troops initiative at Fort Bragg, N.C. along with current and former MLB players and other FOX Sports Girls from across the country.

"I am honored to have been a part of such a special day," said Morgan about her time at Fort Benning. "The military personnel and their families were wonderful hosts, and I continue to be grateful for all they do for us on a daily basis."

FOX Sports will continue to honor military personnel on Tuesday, November 11 with a special programming block on FOX Sports 1 starting at 7:00 PM ET with FOX Sports South's Emmy Award-winning series DRIVEN, featuring UFC on FOX analyst Brian Stann.
