Dolphins to host Jets in London during 2015 regular season
London is calling once more for the Miami Dolphins, with the team announcing Thursday they will host the New York Jets at Wembley Stadium for a regular season game in 2015.
The Dolphins played in London this season, defeating the Oakland Raiders 38-14 in Week 4. In that game, the Dolphins were the visiting team.
"If we play like we did this year over there, I'm ecstatic about it," Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin said. "It was a very positive experience."
The matchup of AFC East rivals is one of three NFL games scheduled to play in London next season. The Dolphins and Jets will play Oct. 4, followed by the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars on Oct. 25, and the Detroit Lions taking on the Kansas City Chiefs on Nov. 1.
This marks the third time that Miami is participating in the NFL's International Series, and the announced game marks the first divisional game in the London series.
The Dolphins are no strangers to playing internationally, as they faced off against the New York Giants in 2007 in the inaugural game at Wembley Stadium and have been a part of seven overseas games since 1988. Four of those were preseason games as part of the American Bowl series that concluded in 2005.
