INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Colts lost two more starters Monday when they put left guard Jack Mewhort and starting safety Clayton Geathers on injured reserve.
Mewhort injured his left knee during Sunday's 22-17 loss to Houston. Geathers was inactive with a neck injury.
Losing Mewhort and Geathers is another big blow for the Colts (6-7), who are on the verge of being eliminated from the playoff chase.
Indy also put backup linebacker Curt Maggitt on injured reserve with a knee injury sustained Sunday.
The Colts filled their roster spots by signing veteran safety Duke Williams and promoting receiver Devin Street from the practice squad to the active roster.
Indy travels to Minnesota (7-6) on Sunday.
