Updated Mar. 4, 2020 7:18 p.m. ET

The Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday picked up the third-year option on the contract of guard Rashad Vaughn.

Vaughn was Milwaukee's first-round draft pick in 2015, the No. 17 overall selection, after leaving UNLV following his freshman season. First-round pick contracts are guaranteed for the first two year with team options for the third and fourth years.

Vaughn averaged just 3.1 points in 14.3 minutes per game last season. In 70 contests, with six starts, shot only 30.5 percent from the field and 29.3 percent of his 3-point attempts. Vaughn played eight minutes in the season opener, scoring two points.
