The Milwuaukee Bucks were awarded the contract of guard/forward DeAndre Liggins on Monday afternoon via waivers, just two days after he was placed there by the Miami Heat on Oct. 14.

Liggins spent most of last season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, averaging 2.5 points and 1.7 rebounds in a career-high 61 games. The Cavs waived him on April 9, just a few days before the start of the postseason. He wrapped up the regular season with the Dallas Mavericks and scored eight points, seven rebounds and two steals in one game.

The former Kentucky standout was selected in the second round (No. 53 overall) by the Orlando Magic in 2011. He split time with the Magic, Oklahoma City and Miami from 2011-14 before spending one year in Russia (2014-15) and the 2015-16 season in the D-League (now G League).
