Braun out of lineup in Miami due to lingering hand injury

Milwaukee Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun is out of Monday's lineup as he continues to battle a thumb injury on his right hand.
Braun started Sunday's 9-1 victory over Philadelphia, but was pulled for pinch hitter Logan Schafer in the bottom of the third inning.
The injury is to a nerve between the thumb and index finger on Braun's right hand. While the pain and soreness is throughout the entire hand, the lack of ability to use the thumb and index finger has led to Braun changing his swing.
Though he is still hitting .304 with nine home runs and 36 RBI, Braun hasn't homered in 65 plate appearances and hasn't been the same hitter he usually is since the injury popped up a month ago.
Schafer will start in left field with Braun out of the lineup.
