The first season for Texas A&M without Johnny Manziel at quarterback expected to be a bumpy one for the Aggies in the SEC according the media.
Texas A&M was picked to finish sixth in the seven team SEC West in the preseason media poll. Alabama was the west favorite followed by Auburn, LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi State and then the Aggies. Arkansas was tabbed seventh.
Alabama also was the leader in votes to win the SEC with Auburn second. The Aggies didn't receive any votes from the 293 media members who participated.
Texas A&M did have three members on the preseason all-SEC first team. Offensive lineup Cedric Ogbuehi, cornerback Deshazor Everett and punter Drew Kaser were the first-team picks. Trey Williams was tabbed the third team all-purpose back.
