Watch Toronto's Nazem Kadri pull off high box jump on one foot
There has been a lot of criticism of Leafs forward Nazem Kadri this offseason, and even the Maple Leafs seem to be asking Kadri to prove himself after granting him a measly one-year contract extension earlier this offseason.
But Kadri apparently is hard at work getting ready to prove people wrong if a video he shared on Instagram Tuesday of himself working out in the gym is any indication of how he is spending his summer. The 24-year-old completes some basic short hops on his left foot before he pulls off an impressive one-footed high jump.
Kadri had a difficult year in 2014-15. He was benched for missing a team meeting after an embarrassing loss in March, and Toronto president Brendan Shanahan publicly called out the 24-year-old at the time, saying the incident was not Kadri's first off-ice issue with the team.
Last season was Kadri's worst performance as a regular in the Toronto lineup, as he posted 39 points in 73 games -- five points fewer than his 44-point total during the lockout-shortened 2012-13 season.
