Steen, Jackson sidelined four weeks

Published Mar. 10, 2011 12:00 a.m. ET

The St. Louis Blues winger Alex Steen and defenseman Barret Jackman will be sidelined at least four weeks because of injuries.

Steen has a high ankle sprain in his right leg and Jackman broke his right index finger. They were both injured Wednesday night in the team's 4-3 overtime loss in Columbus.

Steen was injured near the end of the second period after falling awkwardly.

Jackman, who missed nine games earlier this season with a sprained knee, took a shot off the hand with roughly six minutes remaining in regulation.

The Blues are already playing without David Perron (concussion) and Vladimir Sobotka (broken foot) and have had a number of key players miss significant time this season because of injury.
