Colorado Avalanche center Paul Stastny will miss the rest of the season due to a stress fracture in his right leg.

Stastny was injured in Friday's 4-3 shootout win at Phoenix, the Avalanche said Sunday. He played 18 minutes, 45 seconds in that game and did not record a point. He has 22 goals and 35 assists in 74 games this season and is second on the team in scoring.

Going into Sunday's game against Calgary, the Avalanche had lost 425 man games to injury, the most in franchise history and second in the NHL.
