Max Domi reveals he stole from the Maple Leafs as a childhood thief

Arizona Coyotes rookie Max Domi grew up around hockey as his father, Tie Domi, was long knowns as one of the toughest players in the league. In addition to benefitting from being exposed to some of the best players in the world at a very young age, young Max made the most of his time in the Maple Leafs' locker room by helping himself to some items he used to come across at the rink.
"Oh, tape, gum, laces...I stole a lot," Domi said in an interview with SportsNet. "I'd just go to the rink when nobody was there. My dad would give me a big Leafs bag, a big plastic bag, and I would just literally fill it up with as much as I could. As I got more comfortable doing it my dad was like 'OK relax a little bit, you're getting a little too out of hand."
Domi's most recent visit to the Air Canada Centre was on Oct. 26, and true to form, he took a little something home with him as a souvenir: two points from a 4-3 win. Domi also scored a goal in his return to Toronto.
The rookie currently ranks second in scoring by a rookie in the NHL this season with 16 points (eight goals, eight assists) in 18 games.
