Fort McMurray wins outdoor junior hockey game

The Fort McMurray Oil Barons beat the Drayton Valley Thunder 4-2 on Friday night in windless, 14-degree conditions in an outdoor Alberta Junior Hockey League game.

The Northern Classic broke the previous AJHL attendance record of 4,400, drawing 5,726 fans.

Fort McMurray is about 250 miles northeast of Edmonton.
