Don Cherry joins outrage over Kanye West's Pam Am Games performance

Don Cherry, the former NHL coach who has gained fame as a commentator on CBC's Hockey Night in Canada, has joined fellow Canadians upset about American hip-hop artist Kanye West headlining the closing ceremony for the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto on July 26.

Cherry, who is unabashedly pro-Canadian and has criticized anyone and anything that's not Canadian, went on a Twitter rant Friday evening, questioning the committee that selected West as its lead performer when there are Canadian musicians who were overlooked. He even asked Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper to intervene.

Cherry, known as much for his loud wardrobe as his outspoken rants, may not have mentioned Kanye by name, but it's clear who he's talking about.
