The Phoenix Coyotes signed newly acquired center Ethan Werek to an entry-level contract Thursday. Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

The 19-year-old Werek was acquired May 8 from the New York Rangers in exchange for center Oscar Lindberg, who was drafted by Phoenix at No. 57 overall and played this season in the Swedish Elite League.

Werek had 24 goals and 28 assists in 47 games for Kingston in the Ontario Hockey League this season.
