Carey Price named first star of the week

Carey Price is further solidifying himself as the NHL's top goaltender.

The NHL came out with it's weekly Three Star honors, and Price was named the first star.

Price went 3-0-0 this week with a .963 save percentage and a 1.00 goals against average. Price is leading the way to Montreal's 6-0-0 start, the League's best record.

In Price's second victory of the week against the New York Rangers, Price stopped all 25 shots he faced to record his 35th career shutout, the fourth most in Montreal history.

Price, the reigning Hart, Vezina, Ted Lindsay and Jennings Trophy winner, has started off his season with a 5-0-0 record with a .957 save percentage, a 1.20 goals against average and a shutout.

Montreal is off to its best start in its franchise's history. The team is not only allowing any goals against, but the team is putting up an impressive amount of goals per game. Their 20 goals are the second-most in the league this season.
