Blue Jackets send defenseman Guenin down to AHL

The Columbus Blue Jackets say they have assigned defenseman Nate Guenin to Springfield of the American Hockey League.
The 27-year-old Guenin, sent to Springfield on Tuesday, was scoreless with two penalty minutes in three games with the Blue Jackets. He has two assists and eight penalty minutes in 17 career NHL games with Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Columbus.
