The Colorado Avalanche activated defenseman Adam Foote and center Matt Hendricks from injured reserve Saturday.

To make room on the roster, Colorado placed defenseman Kyle Cumiskey on IR because of a foot injury and waived defenseman Tom Preissing.

Foote missed five games after sustaining a jaw injury on Nov. 17 at Calgary. He was placed on IR on Nov. 27, retroactive to Nov. 17. The Avalanche captain has three assists with a plus-6 in 21 games this season.

Hendricks missed six games because of a groin injury. He has two goals in 15 games this season.

Cumiskey has three goals and four assists in 24 games, and Preissing had an assist in two games with Colorado.
