Actor Kevin Spacey surprises Panthers' fans, players on Jumbotron
Actor Kevin Spacey continues to provide a mysterious lift for the upstart Florida Panthers.
Spacey popped up on the BB&T Center Jumbotron during the third period of Thursday's Panthers' home game against the Atlantic Division-rival Detroit Red Wings. The Oscar winner thumbed past a few Florida jerseys before finding his own, with No. 1,738 on the back.

Brandon Pirri, who wore the team's "Spacey In Space" blue sweatshirt as the game's most valuable player on Thursday, was pleased by the actor's appearance during the Panthers' 6-3 win. Via the Miami Herald:
"That was pretty cool. You don't really want to be looking at the Jumbotron during a game but we were all nudging each other."
As for Spacey's No. 1,738 jersey, well, that has special meaning. The Miami Herald explained that the Panthers' victory song - "Trap Queen" by rapper Fetty Wap - features Remy Martin 1738 cognac.
Only I really know what #SpaceyInSpace means. Hope it continues to bring good luck! -K?#FlaPanthers @Barkovsasha95 https://t.co/2hOqoQK9Aw
