Sam Bradford wins his first game with Minnesota Vikings

Sam Bradford won his first game in Minnesota.

Former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford seems to be adjusting well to life with the Minnesota Vikings.

Bradford was traded to the Vikings earlier this month after their Pro Bowl quarterback Teddy Bridgewater suffered a season-ending injury during training camp. Someway, somehow, the Eagles were able to convince Minnesota that Bradford was worth a first and a fourth round pick (that fourth round pick could become a third round pick if the Vikings win the Super Bowl).

Bradford did not start for the Vikings in Week 1 as he was still learning the team’s offense, but made his debut against the Green Bay Packers in Week 2. And he looked very good.

He finished the night going 22 of 31 for 286 yards and 2 touchdowns. Not bad for the first start with a new team.

It should be noted, however, that Vikings All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson went down in the third quarter with what could potentially be a serious knee injury. If Peterson is lost for an extended amount of time, Bradford will have a much tougher time throwing against oposing defenses without his superstar running back lined up behind him.

The Eagles will take on Bradford and the Vikings in Philadelphia on October 23.
