Patriots quarterback Tom Brady doesn't want to coach after retirement
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady all but ruled a return to the sidelines after his playing career is over, saying he doesn't think he would be a good coach.
The 39-year-old Brady has said in the past that he plans on playing football for at least a few more seasons.
"Coaching wouldn't be for me," Brady said on a conference call. "No, certainly not. I like playing. I wouldn't be a good coach. I don't have the patience to be a coach.
Brady is in his 17th season in the NFL and has a 175-51 record, while winning four Super Bowl titles. He has also been selected to 11 Pro Bowls and been named the league's Most Valuable Player twice.
This season, Brady has been spectacular after sitting out the first four games of the season because of a suspension for his role in Deflategate.
Brady has won all three of his starts this season, completing 75% of his passes, for 1,004 yards with eight touchdowns and no interceptions.
