One final look at the Carson Wentz bomb to Nelson Agholor
Take one final look at the Carson Wentz bomb to Nelson Agholor.
The city of Philadelphia and fans of the Philadelphia Eagles are still buzzing over rookie quarterback Carson Wentz. Truthfully, they should be excited. Prior to Sunday just about everyone paying attention to this team was on two ends of a very large spectrum.

Either you were in the minority (a select few who actually believed that Wentz could be as good as he was), or you were sharing the same fear as the majority of the fanbase. Most sat in fear from the previous Saturday (the day Sam Bradford was traded with only eight days remaining before the season opener) all the way to Sunday morning where some were still in panic mode. The prevailing thought that many were tussling with was the idea of “what happens if the Eagles actually lost this game”.
Though the Eagles never trailed, there were a few tense moments. Then it happened. With a 15-10 lead, the rookie quarterback went deep on a play that many will always remember as the signature play of this game. It was impressive debut for the rookie already, but this is the play that ultimately broke the will of the Cleveland Browns, put the game out of reach and assured the rookie had won the hearts of everyone who cheers for this team.

What really put it over the top was who was on the receiving end. Nelson Agholor has seen his fair share of criticism. There was a sexual harassment case that came and went and a rough pre-season that followed a very disappointing rookie campaign. Right when everybody was just about ready to give up on him, Agholor showed up in a big way. He beat NFL All-Pro Joe Haden and hauled in a perfect pass from Wentz.

Now if that doesn’t get you going, you may not have a pulse. Throughout OTAs and training camp we heard about Wentz’s missed throws and some inaccurate deep balls, but it look likes things may be coming together. There isn’t an Eagles fan in this country who isn’t excited about next week.
