NFL Week 2 injury roundup: Jimmy Garoppolo, Arian Foster, P.J. Williams
Patriots quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo went down with an injury on Sunday, forcing New England to turn to another inexperienced signal caller.
Garoppolo’s shoulder injury was one of several notable injuries on Sunday.
Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart and Lions running back Ameer Abdullah were also injured.

Garoppolo was replaced by rookie Jacoby Brissett, a third-round pick from North Carolina State.
Jonathan Stewart, Panthers — Hamstring, questionable
Stewart’s backup, Fozzy Whittaker, left the game briefly to be evaluated for a possible concussion but returned shortly after.
Arian Foster, Dolphins — Groin, questionable
Foster had groin surgery last season.
Braxton Miller, Texans — Hamstring questionable
Miller had one catch for three yards before he was injured.
