Ndamukong Suh trained in Nike 'top secret' chamber to prep for Miami humidity
Ndamukong's Suh's first season in Miami is off to a strong start.
During his trip to the Dolphins training camp in Davie, Florida, FOX Sports 1's NFL insider Alex Marvez discovered that Suh had been preparing for the humidity of Miami in an unconventional way. The following is a section from Marvez's feature on Suh, which was published on Tuesday:
Suh also has served as a role model when it comes to physical conditioning.
Because of personal and business interests in Omaha and Portland, Suh wasn't a full-time participant in Miami's offseason conditioning program. However, he was able to acclimate himself to the sticky South Florida climate through what he calls a "top-secrett" training chamber at Nike headquarters in Portland.
Nike has the technology to simulate the exact temperature and humidity for each day at Dolphins headquarters in Davie, and Suh worked on his cardio through biking and treadmill running.
"'This guy is on a whole other level in terms of commitment and his diet," Dolphins executive vice president of football operations Mike Tannenbaum said.
That sounds like quite the commitement from the 6-foot-5, 320-pound, $100 million defensive lineman.
