Larry David is 'positive' he could be an NFL offensive coordinator
Next to head coach, an offensive coordinator is arguably the second most important position on a coaching staff. It usually entails drawing up and calling plays on game day, which is no easy task. There’s a reason why there are only 32 possible openings for the job in the NFL.
Legendary “Seinfeld” co-creator and the star of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” Larry David thinks he could be the Jets’ next offensive coordinator. And he’s completely serious.
Monday’s claim comes after David made the same statement last year, saying he could head the offense for the Jets. He doesn’t think holding that position in the NFL would be terribly difficult.
Obviously, there’s no way David could successfully run an offense in the NFL, given the fact that he has exactly zero days of experience doing so. It would be fun to see, though. Perhaps an NFL team will let him shadow its offensive coordinator like David pleaded one to do.
