Jets' Super Bowl odds haven't yet matched their record

The New York Jets were one win away from starting the season 4-0, but there's no doubt a 3-1 record is a pleasant surprise.

Entering their bye, the Jets have the second-best record in the NFL and have allowed a league-low 55 points to opponents. Chris Ivory has been outstanding for the Jets and Ryan Fitzpatrick hasn't cost them any games, so it's hard to complain about where they stand.

Still, the Jets aren't getting any love from Vegas. According to Bovada, the Jets' Super Bowl odds sit at 50/1, tied for 16th in the league. Their 3-1 record suggests they're a top-eight team in the league, but oddsmakers don't feel the same way.

One reason for the not-so-great odds could be the fact that the Jets are in the same division as the defending Super Bowl champions. The New England Patriots are undefeated and and look like world-beaters as Tom Brady appears to be on a revenge tour.

A Week 7 matchup in New England should prove to be telling, and first place could be on the line. If the Jets are able to come away with a win over the Patriots, their odds should improve.
