Damarious Randall practices fully at Green Bay Packers OTAs
Rookie defensive back Damarious Randall, a first-round pick in the 2015 NFL draft, was a full participant during the Green Bay Packers' OTA workouts on Tuesday, the team website announced. Previously, Randall had been limited by a "minor" ankle injury.
Packers head coach Mike McCarthy was glad to have the major defensive investment back on the field at full strength.
"It’s good to get him in the team stuff and get him past the individual," McCarthy said, per the Packers website. "This is their last chance to get through everything, so they’ll be exposed to everything we ask them to do in training camp."
Randall, a 22-year-old Arizona State product, is an athletic specimen. Although he played mostly safety in college, Green Bay drafted Randall 30th overall with intentions of trying out the 5-foot-11, 196-pound coverage specialist at cornerback.
