Cowboys fan Chris Christie's distaste for Johnny Manziel hits new high
Johnny Manziel is still officially a member of the Cleveland Browns, but with new coach Hue Jackson now in town, it appears the organization will soon cut ties with Johnny Football.
So where will Manziel go next to try to save his NFL career?
Being a native Texan and becoming a star at Texas A&M has many wishing that next place is the Dallas Cowboys. There's even a website dedicated to bringing Johnny to Dallas.
Don't count New Jersey governor and avid Cowboys fan Chris Christie in that mix, though. The Republican presidential candidate wants zero part of Manziel in Dallas.
During a visit on the Hugh Hewitt Show, Christie was asked light-heartedly if there is anything new to report on Manziel to Dallas. Christie responded by saying he'd sacrifice himself for that not to happen: "I will throw my body in front of the Johnny Manziel train if it heads towards Dallas."
That's a bit extreme. Oh, and Internet: Take it easy on the Christie body jokes. Here's the interview clip:
