Colts Injury Report: Vontae Davis, T.Y. Hilton, and Andrew Luck Full Participants Friday

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

The Indianapolis Colts had some positive injury news, as cornerback Vontae Davis (groin), wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (back), and quarterback Andrew Luck (concussion/shoulder) were all full participants in practice on Friday.

It looks as though all 3 key players will be ready to play Monday night against the New York Jets–assuming Luck eventually passes the final stage of the league’s concussion protocol.

The discouraging news is that although starting safety Clayton Geathers (concussion/neck) appears to be recovered from his concussion, he’s apparently now dealing with a neck injury and did not practice on Friday.

Like Luck, he still has to be cleared from the league’s concussion protocol, but that doesn’t even appear to be his underlying injury issue right now.

In his potential absence, expect rookie safety T.J. Green to start alongside veteran Mike Adams, while nickelback Darius Butler could be deployed at safety in obvious passing situations.

Joining Geathers in the ‘DNP’ group Friday were starting cornerback Patrick Robinson (groin) and veteran outside linebacker Robert Mathis (bicep).

If Robinson cannot go, Rashaan Melvin will presumably start on the other side of Davis with Butler manning his accustomed slot spot.

Otherwise, the Colts activated veteran outside linebacker Trent Cole, and he could even start in Mathis’ absence. If nothing else, he should receive meaningful reps in the position’s rotation from the get-go.

Rookie defensive lineman Hassan Ridgeway (back) was also a limited participant on Friday, so it looks like he’ll at least have a decent shot of playing on Monday night.
