Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Chester Rogers finished 2nd among all rookies in having the most receiving yards and catches during preseason with 174 total receiving yards to go along with 14 catches respectively.

He finished just 2nd to New York Jets rookie wideout Robby Anderson in receiving yards, who recorded a whopping 264 receiving yards during preseason, while Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Paul Turner barely bested him with 17 receptions.

Rogers biggest play came on a 57-yard touchdown reception from backup quarterback Stephen Morris in Week 1 of preseason against the Buffalo Bills during the early 4th quarter.

However, he consistently made big catches throughout the preseason–including 7 of them during the team’s preseason finale against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Simply put, he stood out from start to finish during this year’s preseason.

The former Grambling State standout quickly became a small school sleeper for the Colts this preseason and has fought his way into serious discussion for making the team’s final 53-man active roster as either their 4th or 5th wide receiver.

The 6’1″, 180 pound wide receiver has showcased his exceptional hands and quickness in his routes–looking very fluid.

It’s shown in his production on the field, as he was among one of the league’s top rookie receivers in preseason and quite frankly, has earned a spot on the Colts 53-man active roster.
