Carolina Panthers welcome Blake Bortles to the team after 'South Park' gag
"South Park" kicked off its 20th season on Wednesday night with a wide-ranging episode on the NFL and Colin Kaepernick's national anthem protest, online trolls, the presidential election and more. (More on that below.)
During the episode, a number of people noticed that the "South Park" jokesters made Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles a member of the Carolina Panthers. And then the Panthers caught wind and played along.

The Jaguars, though, were baffled by the fact that their quarterback was now a Panther.

@Jaguars You can have him back, but we'd really like a BORT license plate. pic.twitter.com/Nc8Lfk4eyz

Perhaps the Panthers could run a two-quarterback system or make Newton a full-time running back, since he's already treated as one most of the time.
Anyhow, here's at peek at how "South Park" handled the discussion about the national anthem and Kaepernick's protest against racial inequality and police brutality -- a movement that's expanded to other players.
