Tempe, Ariz. (AP) Arizona tight end Ifeanyi Momah was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury, and the Cardinals signed veteran tight end Joseph Fauria.

The team announced the moves Thursday.

Momah played well in preseason games. Undrafted out of Boston College, he spent time on the practice squads of Detroit and Cleveland and has yet to appear in a regular-season game.

Fauria played in seven games last season with Detroit before going on injured reserve Dec. 10. The Lions released him on Saturday in their final round of preseason roster cuts. Fauria had 24 catches for 281 yards and eight touchdowns in two years with Detroit.
