Bears K Gould: 'I feel terrible' after missed field goals vs. 49ers

The Chicago Bears went to overtime with the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday and lost, 26-20, on a 71-yard touchdown pass from Blaine Gabbert to Torrey Smith. This was a particularly painful ending for Bears kicker Robbie Gould, who missed two field-goal attempts in the loss.
Gould said he felt "terrible" after the game, according to Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune.
Gould got off to a good start, giving the Bears a 6-0 lead with early field goals from 40 and 51 yards out. The second half was a different story, though. The 11th-year veteran, who celebrated his 34th birthday on Sunday, missed from 40 yards out on the first drive of the third quarter. Then, with a chance to win the game at the end of regulation, he choked and missed a 36-yard attempt.
Both failed attempts were wide left.
Before Week 13, Gould was having a great season. He entered the 49ers game with a field-goal conversion rate of 88.9 percent. After Sunday, that percentage fell to 83.9.
