LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) The Chicago Bears have extended receivers coach Mike Groh's contract.
Groh, who just completed his second year, has helped produce a combined three 1,000-yard seasons by Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall.
Jeffery had 1,421 yards in 2013 and 1,133 this season. Marshall was limited by injuries in 2014 after finishing with 1,295 yards the previous year.
Before joining the Bears, Groh spent two seasons as Alabama's receivers coach and recruiting coordinator, helping the Crimson Tide win back-to-back national championships. He was also part of one as a graduate assistant in 2009.
