Watch Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov do weirdest pushups you'll ever see
Day two of Nets training camp meant an appearance from Brooklyn owner Mikhail Prokhorov. Because of the scheduled visit, Devin Kharpertian of The Brooklyn Game made a prediction:
"It’s no secret that Prokhorov is working on a deal with Forest City Ratner to retain 100% ownership of the team, so he’ll assuredly be in town working on that. But knowing Prokhorov, I’d bet he’s got something else up his sleeve."
Well Devin, your prediction came true quickly.
Incredibly quickly. Unrealistically quickly. Prokhorov had something up his sleeve, and it's some pretty weird stuff.
The eccentric Brooklyn owner helped the team do some workouts with basketballs in an unconventional sense. Here's what the balls in reference look like, via the New York Post's Tim Bontemps' Instagram:
Not so weird, right? Even if Prokhorov does seem to be oddly taking a teaching position in this workout. Stand back, man!
But things get stranger. Here's the whole lineup, courtesy of Bontemps and Rod Boone of Newsday:

Pushups on a basketball without proper training...seems like a good way to roll an ankle.
Not everyone was doing pushups or weird stretches with some hybrid ABA ball, though. Lionel Hollins turned what looks like a circus from the outside into full-fledged Barnum & Bailey entertainment:
Prokhorov has some good news for his players, too: an invite.
I'm sure they'll be heading out to Russia soon. If only we could witness all of that live. But mostly, what the heck is going on right now?
