Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside broke out last season as one of the league's most improved players and feel-good stories.

So it's only right that he's been enjoying himself this offseason, which, with living in Miami, has included attending parties. 

But there's a twist: Whiteside's wingman isn't exactly who you'd expect. It's not a Heat teammate, another NBA player or one of his childhood friends.

No, it's Ares, his French bulldog.
