In order for the New York Knicks to reach the highest level, chemistry will need to be created.

Preparation beats out talent when talent isn’t inclined to work hard. The Knicks have been working hard, playing pick up games, hitting the weight room, and sharpening their basketball IQ.

Kristaps Porzingis informed Ian Begley of ESPN New York that he’s working on becoming a more formidable threat with his outside shooting, so the Knicks will be able to create spacing.

Having Joakim Noah as a mentor, teammate, and friend will do wonders for Porzingis. His development will thrive on and off the court—exuding a hopeful outlook for a dangerous offense.

Porzingis is impressed with the dedication this veteran has shown, articulating the importance of the opportunity they have been given to be a championship contender.

Porzingis touches may be limited due to the presence of Carmelo Anthony. But standing at 7’3″ with decent shooting range, Porzingis can open up the floor for he and Derrick Rose to generate the pick and pop.

Anthony will be able to assert his dominance on the court with this strategically sound offense. The options, rotations, and spacing will create a plethora of ways for his ferocious scoring ability to take flight.

Derrick Rose has stated that the Knicks are a super team; that they have the ability to beat any team who enters the arena.

The Knicks are focused on winning games, not padding the stat sheet. It will be interesting to see how effective their offense turns out to be.

Only time will tell, but the hope and optimism is present.
