Rising Star Rodney Hood rose up with this ridiculous OT-clinching 3

In just his second NBA season, Utah Jazz guard Rodney Hood is emerging as an offensive force. He made believers out of the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday with 29 points that included a near-impossible corner 3-pointer with 1.4 seconds left that sent the game to overtime.
Utah won it on a Gordon Hayward buzzer-beater for a seventh consecutive victory, but they never would have gotten there without a series of crafty Hood plays throughout his 43 minutes on the floor. The 29 points tied his second-highest output of the season, as did his five assists. He also had five rebounds.
The 6-foot-8 shooting guard out of Duke, is averaging 14.9 points on the season. But in the last three games he's averaging 25.6 points, and 21.4 points during the Jazz's longest win streak since 2010. He has scored at least 20 points in seven of his last 10 games.
He's one of the reasons TNT analyst Charles Barkley said Tuesday the Jazz have the best young talent in the league. Hood's talents will be on display Friday night in Toronto to kick off All-Star Weekend with the Rising Stars Challenge.
