Report: Rookie Chris McCullough hoping to return after All-Star break

When the Nets picked Chris McCullough with the 29th-overall selection in last summer's draft, they weren't sure if the soon-to-be rookie would even see the floor during his first NBA season. McCullough's only season at Syracuse ended early when the forward twisted his knee and ended up tearing his ACL in December of 2014 before conference play even started.
He's spent this season rehabbing that injury, hoping to return at some point. According to ESPN's Mike Mazzeo, that point could be this year:

The 20-year-old McCullough was averaging 9.3 points ad 6.9 rebounds per game before his freshman season ended with that knee injury. He began playing five-on-five in Nets practices about three weeks ago.
For reference, the Nets play their first post-All-Star game Feb. 19 against the Knicks.
