Report: LeBron James playing through sprained wrist

BY foxsports • June 1, 2015

As in every sport, the long NBA season brings players a consistent amount of aches and pains. This is only magnified if a player is suiting up for a team that has made a deep run into the playoffs.

Nearly 100 games and eight months of high-intensity basketball reportedly have four-time NBA MVP LeBron James of the Finals-bound Cleveland Cavaliers dealing with a wrist injury that has affected him through the majority of the season.

From Chris Haynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer:

It’s the same wrist that kept James out for seven games in late December and early January.

This isn’t something the Cavaliers should worry about as they prepare for Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors. Instead, it just goes to show us what James has had to deal with during his team's impressive run. As we saw in the Eastern Conference finals, minor injuries didn't prevent James and the Cavaliers from a four-game sweep of the Atlanta Hawks.

So for all the naysayers who have questioned James’ toughness in the past, maybe it’s time to mute yourself. As we have seen over the past couple of months, he’s one of the toughest players in the game.

The Cavs open the NBA Finals on Thursday against the Golden State Warriors.
