Of course Evan Turner just compared himself to Michael Jordan

Evan Turner isn't the greatest all-around basketball player in the world, but what separates him from other average wings is his mouth.

After saving the day with a gorgeous drive-and-dish assist to Jae Crowder, who knocked down a huge three that helped the Boston Celtics defeat the Philadelphia 76ers last Wednesday night, Turner had this to say, per ESPN Boston:

The 27-year-old is averaging 9.5 points per game and shooting 43.4 percent from the field, so, yeah, he isn't Michael Jordan. But Turner is Boston's second best creator, and someone their attack repeatedly relies on for instant offense.

"I had confidence [Crowder] was going to make it," Turner said. "Before [the possession] I had told Crowder, even though he’d missed a couple of shots, I said, ‘You’ve got some big shots in you.’ He was like, ‘I know.’ When I was dribbling, I was like, 'Oh snap, I’m at 15 feet, I’m about to end this.' And then I thought about [Michael Jordan] passing to Steve Kerr. And I thought, 'Well, let me add that to my legacy. I’ll pass one time.' And that was it. It was unbelievable, actually. Ingenious by me."
