Moe Harkless: 'I'm getting more and more comfortable every day'

Over the summer, the Portland Trail Blazers traded a second-round pick to the Orlando Magic for Moe Harkless, a seldom-used wing who couldn't get off the bench.

That minor move now looks like a stroke of genius. Harkless is thriving in Portland's rotation, and here's what he had to say after dropping 10 points on the Memphis Grizzlies Thursday night, per NBA.com:

Harkless is averaging 9.0 points per game with a 59.5 True Shooting percentage. He's nailing threes, attacking the basket, finishing in the paint and playing capable defense on the other end.

What a steal.

Six games into the 2015-16 campaign, the low risk-high reward transaction is paying dividend in Portland. Harkless' confidence and career has been rejuvinated in Rip City. Coming off the bench, the versatile 6'9" posted his first double-double in the Trail Blazers' win at Utah on Wednesday and followed that performance with 10 points on Thursday to help his team to victory versus Memphis. "I’m getting more comfortable out there," Harkless said after Thursday's win. "That’s the most important thing when playing, just being comfortable. It takes time, but I’m getting more and more comfortable every day."
