Memphis flexing its well-earned playoff experience
Memphis is up 2-0, and they can thank all their past years of playoff failure for the current success. Postseason experience is unquantifiable but absolutely necessary. And few teams have more of it than the Grizzlies.
Here's the Memphis Daily News with more:
"One example: In the second half of Game 2 Wednesday night, Aldridge decided he would try to post-up Zach Randolph. Moments earlier, Z-Bo had bullied his way through and over Aldridge for a bucket. It was time to get even. Only Z-Bo didn’t budge. He is to a lower center of gravity what Michael Jordan was to air—at one with it. But Aldridge wasn’t quitting, either. So the reinforcements came, dressed in their home whites."
Both teams are banged up, but one clearly knows how to deal with it better than the other. Unfortunately, for Portland, it's a skill that can't be learned overnight.
