Marc Gasol almost falls down, finishes and-1 circus shot (VIDEO)
Maybe the Grizzlies are getting lucky.
Memphis continues to win games, despite its minus-2.9 point differential which says its record should be far worse than 18-16. The latest example: a 99-90 overtime victory over the Heat which propelled the team to the top-six in the Western Conference, pretty much where it was supposed to be at the start of the season.
And how are the Grizzlies getting lucky? Maybe it's on shots like these from Marc Gasol. Or is this just pure skill? It's impossible to differentiate. Either way, it's beautiful.
Gasol certainly didn't get lucky the rest of the game. That was all skill, finishing with 23 points, eight rebounds, six assists and four blocks in a classic performance against Hassan Whiteside, one of the NBA's next up-and-coming centers. He's no Gasol until he starts making baskets like this one, though.
