Kevin Durant called Kristaps Porzingis a 'unicorn'
Kevin Durant is a human being, which means one thing and one thing only: He loves Kristaps Porzingis. And KD wasn't shy about his feelings for the Latvian rookie in talking about his upcoming game against the Knicks.
From Anthony Slater of the Oklahoman:

Here's the transcript of Durant's comments in case you can't watch the video:
When they made the pick, I texted [Knicks coach Derek Fisher] and immediately said, I like this kid. He can play. A lot of people were down on him, but he can play. I've seen, you've seen his skill. I think we've got away from enjoying the skill players in this league. You get so many guys who are athletic and big and strong. But he's like a skill player. He can shoot. He can make the right plays. He can defend. He's a 7-footer that can shoot all the way out to the three-point line. That's rare. And block shots, that's a unicorn.
Porzingis is one of the top two leading candidates for Rookie of the Year along with Karl-Anthony Towns and has taken the NBA by storm in the process. It's not just about skill or production with KP. It's about style and personality.
The rookie already has the fourth-best selling jersey in the NBA, and has flashed put-back dunks and crazy three-point shots as he's gained almost immediate fame. He's only 20. He's going to get better. Durant sees that. And apparently, he respects it.
