Draymond Green, comedian Kevin Hart star in new Foot Locker commercial
Golden State's Draymond Green has made his name known as a basketball star. Now, he's trying as an actor as well. He stars in Foot Locker's new commercial with Kevin Hart.
The scene opens as Green and Hart walk down a fashion runway. Hart offers Green a sneak peak of his new clothing collection because he knows that NBA players love fashion. The models are wearing artsy, experimental and bizarre outfits. One man wears a blinking sign with text that reads "shirt" while another wears a tree costume. Hart says he's "oozing" with creativity.
"This is extremely weird," said Green, in the commercial. "FootLocker's February collection owns all the hot gear this month. You sure you want to take that on?"
Cut to the next scene, Hart is sued by Foot Locker for trying to steal Foot Locker's February collection.
"Listen," said Hart. "This was Draymond Green's idea. He physically intimidated me."
Hart proceeds to spell Draymond's name: "D-R-A-Y-MOND" as he jumps into a car to get away from the paparazzi. Admittedly, it's a strange advertisement. But for Green, who has also appeared in commercials for Beats by Dre and Nike, it's a solid start as an actor.
