Confused Gortat thought he was traded after winning Player of the Week

Washington Wizards center Marcin Gortat is an average NBA starter. Nothing about him is particularly remarkable and nothing about him is particularly bad. He just kind of exists as a solid, if not integral chess piece.
But Monday, Gortat was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week, after averaging 21.3 points and 11.7 rebounds (on 59.6 percent shooting) in three games against the Sacramento Kings, Charlotte Hornets and Brooklyn Nets.
Everyone was surprised, including Gortat himself:
Omg!! When i woke up and I checked my phone I had about 20 messages!! I though I was traded ?????.... Gzzzzzz #dcrising

He's having himself a very "Gortat-like" season, plugging up the paint and providing a regular double-double almost every night.
But last week he was out of this world. Trading him was the last thing the Wizards probably thought about.
