Carmelo Anthony wants to 'help' Kristaps Porzingis with his tech fine

When a player gets T'd up in a game, the NBA comes calling right after to collect a fine. Unfortunately for Kristaps Porzingis, he will be paying his first one of those after getting called for his first career technical foul Tuesday night against the Hawks.
Or will he?
Carmelo Anthony says he's willing to "help," via Marc Berman of the New York Post:
“You guys are more surprised than I was surprised,’’ Anthony said. “We’re going to do something about that tech to help him out a bit [financially]. He showed some grit out there. Someone walked up into your chest, you stand your ground. That’s what he did.’’
Plenty found it surprising to find someone as emotionally even-keel as Porzingis get in the face of Kent Bazemore, who has also rightfully earned a reputation of being one of the NBA's better guys. Melo makes all that money, though. KP is on a rookie deal. The least he or the team can do is chip in on the fine.
