Brooklyn Nets to Feature Infor Logo on Jerseys
The Brooklyn Nets have formalized a deal with Infor, which will result in the company’s logo appearing on their black and white uniforms.
For better or for worse, advertisements on NBA jerseys are finally becoming a reality, and they’re set to hit the market in the 2017-18 season. We’ve seen changes to uniforms that will be implemented next season with the Philadelphia 76ers (StubHub), Sacramento Kings (Blue Diamond Growers), and Boston Celtics (General Electric). The Brooklyn Nets have joined this mix of teams, announcing that their uniforms will have the logo of software company Infor.

In a press release, the Nets expressed excitement in their partnership with one of the largest global companies that specializes in industry-specific cloud software.
The most unique aspect of the partnership will see Infor develop a one-stop digital hub designed to help Nets General Manager Sean Marks and the team’s Basketball Operations department generate stronger results on the court. This hub, developed by data scientists at Infor’s Dynamic Science Labs and a team from its in-house digital agency, H&L Digital, will provide actionable insights by analyzing the vast array of data captured by the Nets on-court performance as well as the team’s travel information, training activity, and other performance data. The centralized digital platform will aim to enhance data visualization and to further unify all of Basketball Operations, including players, coaches, training and medical staff, and analytics team.

The Nets are not the first sports team Infor has worked with. Infor has relationships with the BNZ Crusaders, the most successful team in Super Rugby history. The Crusaders’ jerseys also feature the Infor logo, and Infor helps the team with marketing and fan operations.
More from Nothin' But Nets
For the Nets, Infor will create a “one-stop digital hub” that will help the team’s performance on the court. Developed by data scientists, the hub will incorporate data based on the Nets’ on-court performance, travel information, training activity, and other performance data. This component of the partnership was described by the Nets as “the most unique aspect of the partnership.”
Evidently, one of the other major changes this partnership brings is in the branding, which can already be seen on the Nets’ uniforms, which fans have been raving about all morning. Other changes involving branding that will be implemented are around the Nets’ bench, scoreboard, scorers’ table and signage at the Barclays Center. The main takeaway is that we’ll see Infor just about everywhere in Barclays next season.
While the Nets continue to look relatively unchanged as a team on the court, changes continue to be made in the front office, led by general manager Sean Marks. This partnership with Infor is only another prime example of what a Marks-led franchise can accomplish off the court.
